Harvest

One of the most important and fun parts of the harvest work is the weighing of produce each week before we load up the carts and head to the Food Pantry for delivery.

From the first harvest of the season to the last, we keep track of how much food we are able to provide from the Interfaith Garden to our Good Neighbors.

Of course, spring sprouts and greens weigh far less than the fall root vegetables, but it all adds up to literally tons of fresh food over the years.

By the end of 2022, we can report that on average we have delivered about 1500 lbs. each season for a total of over 10 tons of food to the Lexington Food Pantry in 13 years.
