Lexington Interfaith Clergy @ Garden Blessing
Lexington’s Interfaith Garden, located near the Battle Green in Lexington Center, donates all of its produce to local food pantries and hunger relief programs. Volunteers of all ages from over a dozen faith communities work and learn together while planting, tending and harvesting organically grown produce. We are also growing community – between the faith communities who are working beside one another in the garden and with our good neighbors who receive the food from the garden. Lexington’s Interfaith Garden builds meaningful interfaith relationships by growing organic produce for our hungry neighbors. We are:
- Providing fresh produce for people in need,
- Educating ourselves and our community on the value of local, sustainable agriculture,
- Building relationships within our interfaith communities, and
- Having fun while doing rewarding work.
We have a broad range of faith communities actively supporting the Interfaith Garden and many community volunteers not associated with any faith community. All are welcome!
